Ceramics - 6 Week Intro To Wheel Pottery! Tuesdays, Starts October 1st

Join us for our multi-week wheel throwing class!! A very highly requested class that has finally come to fruition. In this class we will take a deep dive into wheel pottery and dig into some of the beauty and lessons it holds. This class is geared towards people who have either never thrown before, or have only thrown a few times here and there. If you’ve thrown more than that and still want to take the class, you are absolutely welcome here as well. Open to participants 16+ Our small class size of 6 students will provide lots of one on one assistance and support to help you learn.
Week 1: Learning to wedge, intro to throwing, demo of basic cylinders and bowls
Week 2: Trimming, handles, overview of the stages of clay, throwing practice
Week 3: More in depth throwing and shaping techniques, exploring larger pieces
Week 4: Throwing practice, working on form, trimming + handle refresher
Week 5: Intro to underglazes, choice between throwing more or beginning to decorate
Week 6: Painting all our pieces!!
Class Price: $395
Clay Price $25 for your first 25lb bag, additional clay can be purchased at the studio or at Georgie’s (with studio clay type recommendations in mind)
This is only our third time offering a 6 week wheel class, we may have some bumps in the road that come up, and we are excited to learn as we go on how to make this the best class experience for everyone!
Refunds are available with a $25 processing fee when made at least 10 days before the class starts. Due to the sequential nature of the class, there will be no make up classes for missed days.
