Experience Level: Beginner
Join us for an intro to ceramics class! In this class you will learn foundational ceramic skills. This class is geared towards beginners, people wanting to try ceramics, and anyone who wants to get their hands on some clay! Very beginner friendly, all skill levels are welcome and celebrated :)
Each class session will have a different focus, and the classes are as follows:
Week 1 - Hand building. Learning how to create anything you’d like using slabs, coils, and pinch pots. You’ll get to make and keep up to 2 items.
Week 2 - Wheel throwing. Learning how to throw on the wheel. You’ll be able to keep your favorite 2 pieces.
Week 3 - Under-glazing/decorating. We will spend this class decorating and painting the items that we made in the previous two weeks.
Your pieces will then be fired, glazed, and fired again by the instructor, Maddie (she/her). Your pieces will be finished and ready to pick up in approximately 6 weeks.
